Walk-in-School District Commissariat Paramaribo Zuid-West

In context of the engagement process within the REDD+ program, a walk-in-school is organized to inform stakeholders and other groups about the REDD+ program. Through presentations we try to increase awareness and involvement. The presentation fort he District Commissariat Paramaribo South West was held in the NIMOS building. Nineteen executive officers of the District Commissariat Paramaribo South West attended this walk- in-school. Ms. C. Elliott, Community Liaison Officer of REDD+, welcomed the attendees and introduced the REDD+ PMU and SBB delegation present. The presentations were followed by a question round and a discussion about logging and deforestation. In her closing statement Ms. Elliot emphasized the attentdees that if they needed more information or have any more questions the REDD+ PMU unit is always available. Subsequently, the deforestation card 2015, the land use cover card 2015 and the Gonini poster were handed over to Ms Kiene of the District Commissariat.
